I decided to sign up for Bloggiesta on a complete whim just a few minutes ago. I’ve never participated in this event before, but I’ve always wanted to. The events usually end up being really bad times for me though, so I usually pass. But not this year! I am actually off from work the next three days, and I have very few plans. Also, in spirit of The Book Blogger Organization Challenge, I thought it would be a good time to participate. But first, what is Bloggiesta?
“In short, Bloggiesta is a blogging marathon revolving around ticking off those items on your to-do list and improving your blog while in the good company of other awesome bloggers doing the same thing. Our awesome mascot Pedro (Plan. Edit. Develop. Review. Organize) is ready to break out the nachos, enchiladas, drinks, mariachi music and whack a pinata or two! It’s nothing short of an awesome fiesta!” – Bloggiesta Information
I’m not really sure if I’ll participate in any of the challenges, but there are some things that I want to focus on over the next few days.
– Write reviews
I have five books reviews as of right now to write. I really need to get those drafted.
– Update past reviews with the Ultimate Book Blogger Plugin.
I’ve been doing this very slowly. For the last few weeks, I’ve been aiming at updating 7 reviews a week. But I would love to be a bit more focused on these for the next couple days, and really make some progress. I’m not expecting to finish them all, because I’m pretty sure I have more than 100 to update, but I do want to make some good progress.
– Take photos of my blogging calendar
I’ve been meaning to put together a post of how I organize all my blogging duties, but I need to actually take some photos of my calendar.
– Schedule Reviews
I always draft up my reviews, but I rarely schedule them until the night before. I would love to schedule at least next week’s reviews, if not the next two weeks.
– Put together my Top Ten Tuesday post for this coming Tuesday
I always wait until the last minute for these. I’d like to get this out of the way.
