Series: The Maverick Billionaires #3

Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
Narrator: Eva Kaminsky
After growing up dirt poor in a seedy Chicago neighborhood, Matt Tremont seemingly has it all now—brains, brawn, and billions. And most importantly, Noah, his five-year-old son, the one good outcome of a disastrous relationship that destroyed his last ounce of trust. The only thing he’s lacking is the perfect nanny for his son. And Ariana Jones is absolute perfection. Utterly enchanting. Completely fascinating. And totally off limits.
Like a match made in heaven, this is Ari's dream job. Swallowed up in the foster care system after losing her brother and mother, Ari has always dreamed of family. She showers five-year-old Noah with all the love she’s kept bottled up inside. Love she could also offer to her gorgeous billionaire boss—if only he weren’t the very last man she could ever hope to have.
But when sizzling sparks of attraction turn into a forbidden, sinfully hot night of pleasure, will Ari’s love be enough to make Matt forget the past and love fearlessly?
I was eagerly awaiting Fearless in Love by Bella Andre and Jennifer Skully, the third book in The Mavericks series, to be released on audio. I definitely prefer Bella Andre’s books on audio, so I usually have to wait a few months extra to get the new releases in that format. However, while I did like Fearless in Love, I did have a few issues with it.
Fearless in Love is about another Maverick brother, this time Matt Tremont. He’s come a long way from his awful childhood in Chicago. He’s successful, wealthy, gorgeous and determined to be the best father to his son, Noah, even if that means he’s over-protective. But Matt has been having issues finding a good nanny for Noah, but then he meets Ariana (Ari), and she’s definitely perfect for the job. But, their attraction to each other isn’t something Matt was expecting.
Ari is amazing. She hasn’t had an easy life either, having grown up mostly in the foster care system. She’s worked hard to get through college with the ultimate goal of becoming a teacher. When she’s offered the job to take care of Noah she is thrilled. Ari loves little Noah, and wants to help him and teach him. Ari has been crushing on Matt a bit, and she’s not afraid of her feelings for Matt, even with her new job working for him. Ari is such a strong, compassionate and intelligent woman, and I was rooting for her from page one.
It was definitely easy to see why Ari and Matt would make such a wonderful couple. They have chemistry, and they are both nice people. It’s easy to want them to be happy together. That said, sometimes Matt really got on my nerves. He definitely gave some mixed signals to Ari, and his waffling back and forth was frustrating. But, luckily, he got his act together, and things worked out.
Fearless in Love was definitely not my favorite in the Mavericks series, but I did enjoy it. And I am most definitely excited for the next book in this series. It’s not quite as good as Andre’s Sullivan series, but it’s still very entertaining.
