Hiatus Continues & Blog Ahead Mini #2

Hi guys! How’s it going? I wanted to let you know what I’m planning for the next couple weeks here at Quinn’s Book Nook.

As you may know, I took a little hiatus (about 2.5 weeks). Although I love blogging, my life is a little hectic at the moment, and I had to give on something, which turned out to be blogging. So, I took a couple weeks off. Having the last two weeks free has really helped, and I’m even starting to come out of my reading slump (I read two books I LOVED – Chasing Christmas Eve by Jill Shalvis and The Girl with the Make-Believe Husband by Julia Quinn).

I’m not quite there yet, though, and I still have quite a bit going on. So I’ve decided to take two more weeks off actively posting new content (although, depending on how things go, I may post a TTT).

For sure, I will be back to blogging with new content on July 3rd.

BUT, I’m not going to be completely gone!

I want to participate in Anna’s Blog Ahead Mini #2 challenge. I’m signing up a bit late, but I figure that’s okay. It’s pretty simple. During June 15-30, I need to schedule at least 15 posts. As I have none scheduled right now, I’m hoping this will help with my blog during some busy times.

I still plan on visiting other blogs, but I’m not going to be posting new things for a few more weeks. I think this will help me one, get out of this reading slump, and two, get a little ahead with my scheduled posts which helps when I’ve got so much going on.

Thanks so much for understanding!

And please, leave me some book recommendations in the comments. I’m looking for easy to read romances. Nothing with too much angst!! Thanks!

I miss seeing your posts, Quinn, but take your time! I’ll be here when you get back. I’m so happy you loved both the Shalvis and the Julia Quinn book! I’ll be reading the Jill Shalvis book soon hopefully! 🙂
    Happy reading and take care.

I am glad to see that you are slowly coming out of your Hiatus and Book slump. Book slumps are the WORST for book lovers. And Jill Shalvis is fantastis isn’t she? Looking forward to your return but enjoy your time away

I’m glad to see that you’re coming out of your reading slump. That’s great news!! I’ll be around whenever you come back from your hiatus so take the time you need!

Quinn, I will love the 2 books you listed above. Two of my favorite authors. Carolyn Brown has a new one out -2nd chance romance. Her books are easy reading. Toughest Cowboy in Texas. What’s not to love about a hot cowboy! Enjoy your break!

Miss your posts, but definitely think you should take the time when life is hectic. Good choice to give it some more time. We’re doing Blog Ahead, too. Great idea to take it easy with the books.

I wouldn’t say it was a light romance because its more a fiction book with romance in it, but I just listened to Lost Lake by Sarah Addison Allen and loved it. I see Sharlene recommended Carolyn Brown- hers are always good for light and fun, too.

    Take care, lady! 🙂

Yay! Good luck with your posts. It totally saves me when life gets crazy and I don’t want to think about getting new posts up. Awesome to hear on the Shalvis! I’m so glad you enjoyed it 🙂
