USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR Sebastian Bennett is a determined man. It's the secret behind the business empire he built from scratch. Under his rule, Bennett Enterprises dominates the jewelry industry. Despite being ruthless in his work, family comes first for him, and he'd do anything for his parents and eight siblings-even if they drive him crazy sometimes. . . like when they keep nagging him to get married already.

Sebastian doesn't believe in love, until he brings in external marketing consultant Ava to oversee the next collection launch. She's beautiful, funny, and just as stubborn as he is. Not only is he obsessed with her delicious curves, but he also finds himself willing to do anything to make her smile. He's determined to have Ava, even if she's completely off limits.

Ava Lindt has one job to do at Bennett Enterprises: make the next collection launch unforgettable. Daydreaming about the hot CEO is definitely not on her to-do list. Neither is doing said CEO. The consultancy she works for has a strict policy-no fraternizing with clients. She won't risk her job. Besides, Ava knows better than to trust men with her heart.

But their sizzling chemistry spirals into a deep connection that takes both of them by surprise. Sebastian blows through her defenses one sweet kiss and sinful touch at a time. When Ava's time as a consultant in his company comes to an end, will Sebastian fight for the woman he loves or will he end up losing her?

After reading the fourth and fifth book in Hagen’s Bennett Family series, I decided to read the book that began the series. Your Irresistible Love by Layla Hagen was a bit of a struggle to get into, but I did ultimately enjoy it.

Your Irresistible Love is bout eldest Bennett sibling, Sebastian. Sebastian is the CEO of Bennett Enterprises, a business that he built from the ground up. As they get near the launch of their jewelry line, they hire and independent marketing consultant to make it extra special. They are both ridiculously attracted to each other, but Ava’s company has a strict no fraternizing policy, and Sebastian has some of his own issues to deal with.

Something I’ve enjoyed about the Bennett Family books I’ve read so far, is that the hero and heroine are always very nice people and that there is pretty low angst. Sebastian was definitely a guy I liked. Although Bennett Enterprises is super successful now, Sebastian built the company from the ground up. And he’s still working very hard today, even though he’s already become very wealthy. Sebastian loves her family deeply, and he’s all around a nice guy. And when he meets Ava, he can’t deny that he is extremely attracted to her.

Ava job has her working all over the world. Her home base New York, though, and she’s been desperately saving her money to own a place of her own. She’s also very hard working, and very good at her job. Ava is also very attracted to Sebastian, but her boss has a very strict policy about getting involved with clients. But, of course, Ava and Sebastian can’t resist each other.

Ava and Sebastian made a great couple. They definitely had chemistry, and it was clear that their individual personalities were a good fit. They each work very hard, but are also very kind and caring. I loved seeing Sebastian’s family adopt Ava into their group, and how much Ava really appreciated that.

However, as with Your Tempting Love, some of the banter didn’t work for me. It didn’t feel natural, and often felt too forced. Some of the word choices were a bit peculiar, as well. As with all the books I’ve read by Hagen, she uses the word “unhitched” in a way that I do not like. It’s totally a personal preference here, and honestly something rather small, but overtime she used that word, it pulled me out of the story.

Although I didn’t love Your Irresistible Love by Layla Hagen, it was a good read. I definitely want to read more in this series.

Great review, Quinn. I think I have this book on my kindle but haven’t gotten around to reading it yet. Sucks about the banter, I have a feeling that it would bother me too since I have issues reading through bad dialogue and banter myself.
